59+ Converter online help

Copying document tables

59+ database and dictionary are compound documents. They normally contain several tables (or streams). Sometimes it could be useful copying just those tables instead of entire documents. For instance, if you want to update only the "DXCC database" table stored in the dictionary you do not have to copy the entire 59L.DIC. Just launch the 59+ converter and copy "DXCC database" stream. It is a safer operation since you will leave your existent records unchanged.

To copy a document table (or stream) follow these steps:

The following streams are probably the most often copied parts of documents:

There are certain dependencies between streams in documents and configuration tables. If after one of the actions you can not load the database - you can always solve the problem by doing the following:

  • Remove global configuration file (59L.CFG)

  • Copy local configuration stream ("Local configuration") stream from the EXAMPLE.59A to your database

If none of the above helps (very rare case) - copy one by one all streams from EXAMPLE.DIC to 59L.DIC or just replace your 59L.DIC with EXAMPLE.DIC. Try launching the log after each copy.

Be careful when using 59+ Converter. If you occasionally overwrite a database you would not be able to restore it. We recommend using backup copies of most important databases in 59+ Log.
