"General" configuration tab

This configuration tab is used to set general parameters such as date/time formats and the language of the application.

Available controls

·          Date format list box - sets the date format. All grids, reports, search engine and sorting algorithms will use it to display and manipulate the data.

·          Time format list box

·          Language list box - selects the language of the log. You have to restart the application to apply new language settings. Please note that new GUI outlook settings (skins, toolbar customization, menu items) are saved on disk. If you want to see toolbar and menu items in the selected language you have to reset them in the configuration dialogs. To do so rightclick on a toolbar, select "Customize" menu item, in the configuration dialog choose "Toolbars" or "Menu" tabs and press "Reset all" button. This will load translated string from resource libraries.

·          GMT offset edit box. Set the GMT offset time according to your time zone. The offset will be used to calculate GMT time for new QSOs based on your current PC time. This feature allows you to start working with the log without changing your local computer time. If you do not use GMT, then set the offset to "+00:00". Correct GMT will always be displayed in the status bar of the main application as shown on the following picture.
