Log
database organization
59+
Log uses compound documents as the base for its database engine. Each log file
created in 59+ contains several file streams and includes the following database
tables:
·
Main log table - used to store QSO records
·
Look up tables - used by the
award
manager
·
Local configuration
table - used by the application to store local configuration parameters such as
last used band, last used report, grid configuration and so on.
·
Other auxiliary tables used by the parser
and reports.
Despite
its complicated internal structure each log database is nothing more than just a
single file your disk. You can copy and delete it as any other file.

| As shown on the picture, you can launch 59+ Log with a particular database by dragging a database's icon over 59L.EXE or by double clicking on the database's icon. |
In
addition to standard operations you can also copy internal file streams of a log database using 59+ Converter.
59+
Converter makes exporting and importing your database files a very straightforward
task.
We recommend reading chapters on 59+ Converter further down the document for
more information on using the converter.
